The Swim

A special experience to swim in the lake at Burghley House. Adjacent to the main event hub, transition and everything that you need at the event. The lake has been opened especially for us to enjoy.

The Bike

The course is closed to all through traffic but we must allow access for residents and businesses trapped within the course (seems fair and reasonable). Although a closed road course athletes should ride within the Highway Code and be aware of cars accessing their property intermittently throughout the morning.

The Run

Most of the route is on tarmac roads within the Burghley estate. There are sections over slightly rougher sections but it's all good running surface and easy to navigate.

Transition and event site

Right in front of Burghley House in their impressive parkland. You'll struggle to find much more iconic locations to rack your bikes.

The event hub with food stands, registration and stall holders is adjacent to transition for your enjoyment and convenience.

Registration

All entries are processed on the website prior to the event. There will be no race day entries.

Athlete registration/check-in will be located at the event village. There will be two opportunities to register for the triathlon events. once on Saturday afternoon/evening and a short opportunity on Sunday morning before the race.

Start times

All athletes will be split into waves depending on their chosen distance. They will then be divided into age group wave starts.

We do have the option to select a beginner wave on the entry forms.

The beginner wave will come with a more detailed briefing including transition tour and an option for a gentler race start.

Waves will start between 6:30am and 8:00am

Race briefing

All details will be posted on the website prior to the event. We will conduct a briefing 30 minutes prior to you starting the swim. Please make sure you have read the race guide prior to the event.
